Join Our Team
We really need teammates. This is the absolute number one way that you can help. Currently there is just our family working here. Many days we feel the lack of friendship, family, and relationship here because we don't have the community that we need. The work moves very slowly as we are the only ones on this campus who are trying to reach the people here. More people = more results. Join with us as we pray for people to join us here. The work can not move forward without the help that a team would offer to the people here.
Benefits of having a team:
*can reach more students
*more availability to study with the students
*better community on campus
*positive reinforcement for the students who interact with all of the team members
*multiple meetings at multiple times throughout the week
*different study topics are available at times that suit the students' needs
Benefits of taking part in a foreign mission effort:
*personal growth
*broaden your perspective on life and the world around you
*improve your outreach capabilities
*strengthen your relationship with the Father
*learn about your strengths and weaknesses
*develop new strengths and gifts
*your team becomes your family while here and after you leave
*the team shares in all of your joys and your sorrows
*see first hand the phases towards salvation as people come to understand the greatest gift that was ever given to them
*learn a personal responsibility towards those you teach and work with
*experience a life with few distractions, where your complete and total existence is focused on working towards the one an only goal that matters - reconciling the world to the Father
Now is a prime opportunity to join us. The school is in desperate need of teachers. They are short by about 5 teachers. You need to have a Bachelor's degree or higher, unless you're a married couple. As long as one of you has a bachelor's degree, the other can come with just an Associate's Degree (like myself).
Children are welcome at this school if you have a family. The housing consists of 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, and a laundry area to dry clothes. If you would like to see pictures of our accommodations, feel free to email us about it. Even if you are a single mom, you are welcome here. We've had single moms and other types of families here. This school is very helpful with arrangements.
If you have any questions about the process for applying here, the documents you need, or anything else regarding working here or in some other place in China, please contact us. We're willing and able to help you.

You are welcome to send anything you'd like to send, just be mindful of the restrictions in this country. We miss our foods from America so if you have any non-perishable stuff that you want to send us, please do so. Just make sure to send any foods separate from other stuff because sometimes they get opened or destroyed as they go through the checkpoints. We often received mail that's been pretty much demolished.
We always need encouragement. Cards are more than welcome as we will start a wall of cards in our home in an effort to keep ourselves encouraged. This way our family here gets to see some of the kind things people have to say about the folks here and the cards are also a good example to the folks here for how to encourage each other. Sometimes it helps to see it in action!

5. Email Us
Email us please. We do read every single email. Please don't send spam mail or chain mail type things. We only want to receive mail that was written from you to us. Please don't put us on any mailing list for chain letters or that type thing. We want to read the words that come from your heart. Even if you don't know what to say, just tell us so. We understand. A lot of folks out there have lost contact with us and this blog is your only view into our lives. We totally get that, we just ask that you make a continual effort to encourage us. We often need it more than you know. Also remember that you can send birthday, anniversary or special occasion cards through email as well as through snail mail.
