Initially, I had one girl join me. She invited a friend the following week. This week, her friend brought a friend. There's many people inviting others to come, so that's great.
I'm hoping that we'll continue to see these people return each week. I'm going to try to reach more people, but our home was at its limit with 15 people. We may have to move to two meetings if we gain a bigger group. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Coming Home
It's official! We finally bought our tickets and we'll be home by June 20. Who knows what will happen after that. I just hope that God guides us towards the next opportunity. Working a 9 to 5 isn't in the best interest of our family. Been there, done that, and watched our family fall apart during the process. We're just praying that God will make a way for us now as we can't see any path that is clear. We're stepping out on faith and waiting on Him to put some stepping stones under our feet.
Prayers for the Sick
I have several family members who are still sick. My brother is doing a bit better now. I thank God for his improved health and hope that God will guide the doctors to a permanent cure for my brother's ailments. My uncle is not getting any better. His condition is worsening daily. The doctors say that it won't be long before his life is over. He's in a lot of pain from the cancer and his brain is affected by it as well. I hope God will release him from the pain he feels now. I also hope that God will bring comfort to my uncle's wife and siblings as they deal with my uncle in his diminished state. Last, my grandfather isn't doing well. He went to the doctor a few days ago and was put on a soft food diet. Now he's returning to the doctor because he's not eating and is getting very weak. My grandfather is an old man and he's been a faithful Christian for most of his life. It's difficult to find a person who knows him and doesn't like him. Everyone I've ever talked to about him has only had good things to say. It's been a blessing having my grandfather in my life for all these years, especially since he's my last living grandparent. I pray that God will increase my grandfather's strength and vitality, and improve his memory a bit. Ultimately, in all things, I pray for God's will to be done in every situation regardless of my own desires for these people. I hope that everyone who reads this will lift my family up in prayer as we deal with these health problems. I'd also like special prayers for my mom. All of these people are so dear to her and I know that she's pushing herself too be there for every single person who is sick and for the family members of those people. I'm praying that God will bless her with restful nights and energetic days. That he will keep her in good spirits and provide her with comforting words to say to people who need to hear them. Most importantly, I hope that God will keep healthy and rooted in His word so that she can continue to be a blessing to the people around her.
